How to set or hide the Author for anonymously submitted community events?

Anonymous events are showing our first WP User as the Author. Is there a way to change this?

Hi. Thanks for your question.

If I’m not mistaken, Community Events submissions are assigned via get_current_user_id(). Anonymously-submitted events may act as you said, although I have not tested to confirm.

Regardless, you can edit each Event’s author just like any other post type (Pages, Posts) in wp-admin.

Click Screen Options in the upper-right corner of an Event’s wp-admin edit screen and check the box next to “Author”.

This will then display the metabox that allows you to edit an Event’s author.
