    I am a developer currently working on a client’s website, and I’d like to know if it’s possible to set a global amount of tickets per event?

    For example, we have different events and some events have two different type of tickets. A ticket for members, and a ticket for non-members. The price for each ticket also varies depending on the membership status. However, we need to show to the end user that event has been sold out independently of how many tickets for each category have been sold. Is there any way to do this with your plugin?

    I understand that tickets are just a different type of products, and thus I can set the quantity for each type of ticket. The problem is that if I have seating for, say, 50 people. It isn’t ideal to allocate 50 for Members and 50 for Non-members, and the worst case scenario (which is likely to happen) is that both kind of tickets sold out, and we’ll end up with 100 people showing up to a place that can only accommodate 50.

    Also setting half of each isn’t practical because our events have a pretty random mix of members and non-members showing up.

    Any pointer to the right direction would be appreciated.

    Thanks for reaching out to us!

    Unfortunately global stock as you describe isn’t currently available within our Ticketing plugins. However, it is currently in active development.

    Full disclosure on this one as well, it was scheduled for release in our upcoming release in early March (and may still be available then). However, looking through the list of features for that release I’m no longer seeing that ticket. This could be due to the need to address some stock count handling across all ticketing solutions. If so, this should be addressed in the current release and focus on the global stock feature should pick back up for the next release.
