MemberGood evening Sean and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. How do I see what the customer sees as far as their tickets… and what they look like
The best way to see what the customer see would be to create a dummy order and making sure the order status is set to Complete (which is how the actual ticket email is triggered).
how to customize that?
Once that is done, I recommend going through our Themer’s guide and paying close attention to the Event Tickets section.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantHi Geoff,
The Themer’s Guide just mentiones different PHP files … doesn’t say how to mod them … the actual printed tickets are pretty important and I’m not sure why there isn’t more info available about this.

MemberHey Sean,
You have a great point.
However, just to set expectations before we continue, as you might know, the scope of our support is mostly to get our wonderful customers started on the right track to customize their site to their liking and, of course, to help them in case of issues.
We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.
With that in mind, the part that will be of interest to you is the following one: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/#tickets
To make a long story short, if you create a folder named /tribe-events/ in your WordPress theme (or child theme) and drop a copy of the file that handles ticket emails in it, that file will have priority over the one found in the plugin (including any changes you might make to it).
Teaching how to tweak a PHP file is beyond what I am able to do in this forum. The good news is that there are a ton of tutorials on WordPress template tweaking out there.
If you do not feel confortable with that idea, you might want to hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
Best regards,
Geoff B.
