ParticipantBeen using the plugin to run 4 nonprofit raffles for the past 5 years. Since my last thread, we have grown the event to about 10K tickets and will need a solution to take us to 60K tickets in the near future. We did get a recommendation to use the event bright plugin to help us with our scaling issue, however, this will not work since we have several custom applications running on the site and we need to keep order process on the site to run these applications during and after the order is taken.
The original thread was about recommendations on how to scale our event while using the plugin. This issue is that when we try to load the attendees’ page the plugin loads the entire list which crushes the server while the page loads. We don’t use the attendee list to check people into our event since it is a raffle, but we do use it to export/print tickets for our raffle. We use a merge function along with the ticket number, name & security code on the ticket to print tickets for the raffle. We also run into issues when we have the customer purchase more than 20 tickets. It seems that we have to print a summary of the tickets from the attendees’ list because the email notification doesn’t seem to email more than (about) 20 tickets then it times out and send an incomplete ticket list.
These are two challenges that we face when we talk about scaling our events. A simple fix would be to paginate the attendees’ list so that we could easily load and manage attendees from this page. I have my developer working on it now and wanted to reach out and see if anyone had come up with a solution to the issue of scaling with this plugin.
We will need to be able to handle lots of tickets and lots of attendees for our events and wanted to see if anyone was interested in helping us get there.
Looking forward to hearing from you ~ Jesse

ModeratorHey Jesse 🙂
First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to be so thorough in your initial post about past discussions on the topic, solutions already considered, and the issues you’re currently running in to.
I located a feature report we have logged aimed to include pagination for the sales & attendees report pages. It’s a Priority Level 2 which is an indication it’s being worked on and a solution should be available in the near future. I unfortunately cannot provide any kind of timeframe. The information you’ve shared with me will be helpful to the developers as they prepare to improve coding relative to ET/ET+ and performance, so thanks again!
If you don’t mind me asking, what hosting company are you using for this particular site? Are you on shared hosting? I too have experienced plenty of difficulties with performance, but after transitioning my site to DigitalOcean (Pantheon is also recommended) and ditching the usual suspects (W3 Total Cache and WP Super Cache) for WP Rocket, it has made a huge difference on performance. I’ve also payed heavy attention to my server’s error logs to see if there is anything I can do on the server level to improve performance. I’ll provide all the relative documentation I have regarding performance below, so please review any of them you’re unfamiliar with:

Now, with all that said, there is not much more I can do to improve your current situation, but I hope I’ve helped shed a little light on some possible solutions until we can incorporate the pagination feature into the sales & attendees report pages.
Please let me know if you’ve got any additional thoughts or concerns on the matter and have a pleasant rest of your day. Cheers!
