ParticipantThe instructions for the “The Events Calendar PRO: Cleanup Recurring Events” Plugin ask, as above, for the Event ID. I’ve been looking, but can’t figure out where I need to look for said Event ID? Where to I find them?

MemberHi, Lance.
When you view the event series on the front end and use the WP Admin Bar’s “Edit Series” link, that’s the parent post ID (i.e. the series’ post ID).
If you cannot access this event series on the front-end, you can find an event in your database’s wp_posts table and then find the “post_parent” column.
Please let me know how this goes for you.

ParticipantSorry, but I’m not sure how to find the WP Admin Bar’s “Edit Series” link. Even less do I know how to look in the database.
Let me ask a simpler question: We never use recurring events. However, for some odd reason I’ve found that the “Schedule Multiple Events” button (perhaps inadvertently) has been turned on, and multiple instances have been mistakenly created.
Is there a way to simply disable the recurring events function? I tried putting “0” in the “Clean up recurring events after” and “Create recurring events in advance for” settings, but it was not accepted.
Thanks, as always.

MemberSorry for the confusion, Lance. Maybe this annotated screenshot can help: https://cl.ly/2f370V353C1u
As far as turning off the recurring events functionality, I don’t know of a way to accomplish this while also using PRO’s other features. You could request this as a new feature (or maybe search to see if the idea was already posted by someone else) at our plugins’ UserVoice page.
This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.
If you post it / find it, feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.

Could you please provide a wp-admin administrator login (in a private reply) so we can take a look at your site’s settings? (we won’t make any edits/changes)

ParticipantCliff,
Thanks. Per your suggestion, I’ve added a user request here:

MemberExcellent. Thanks for doing that.
Is there anything more I can help with at this time regarding this topic?

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
