ParticipantHi,
We integrated Event Ticket Plus into our website and it works great! However, we have an event coming up and it’ll be a high-profiled event. We want our ticket registration to be as smooth and personalised as possible and so we were wondering how to enable 2 things:
We want to the “ticket XXX – Checked-in” message that appears after scanning a QR code to show some additional information such that the person doing the registration can better guide the guest. We want the “ticket XXX – checked in” message to also display: 1) The guest’s name and 2) their table number. The second point is a bit tougher, as we do not have pre-arranged seating; we are hosting a gala and the seating will be determined by us and only be confirmed after the guest has purchased a ticket. Hence we want to be able to put the guest’s table number into their attendee information/or note section and have that display when the guest is checked-in.
To clarify, if Bob buys a ticket through our website, he won’t know his table number when buying the ticket. Right before the event, we decide that Bob should sit on table 45. We want to be able to input Table 45 on Bob’s attendee details/note section and when Bob comes to the event and checks-in, the “ticket xxx – checked-in” message should instead say “ticket xxx- checked-in; Name: Bob, Table 45” or something along those lines.
I found this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/qr-code-check-in-info/ that comes pretty close, but I don’t need the “ticket name” but rather the guest name and their table number (which we manually input on the back-end). Would it perhaps be possible for the message to pull the “note” text and the name instead of the “ticket name”?
Thanks!

MemberHi Alf,
Great question! This is certainly going to require some custom development and I’ll note up front that the amount of assistance we can provide in these cases tends to be limited.
The other topic you found provides a great blue print for your needs, though, so you should certainly be able to build on that:
- It’s hard to provide guidance for the table number as I’m unsure how or where you will store this
- To get the attendee name, you could use something like this
Does that help at all?

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
