How to make another event calendars feed appear in my event calendar

There are 2 sites, hosted on 2 different servers (Not part of the same multisite) And they both have the events calendar plugin.

They want events from a certain category to display in one anothers calendars.

For example:

Site A has event categories 1 2 3
Site B has event categories 4 5 6

Site A wants events from Site Bs category 5 to appear in its calendar
and Site B wants events from Site A categories 2 and 3 to appear in its calendar.

I know you can display other peoples feeds via RSS.
But Im not very well versed in it and would appreciate some guidance on how to accomplish this!

Hello Mo,

That would certainly be possible to do. The easiest way is probably the iCal importer. It allows you to subscribe to an iCal feed, and each category on both sites will have an iCal feed. So on Site A you could subscribe to B’s category 5…

The only hiccup is that the iCal feed will be by default limited to 20 events. You can change the default amount of events. But if you have more than 100 upcoming per category, it’s probably not going to be a great solution performance wise.

Would that work? Does that all make sense?
