ParticipantHello,
I am setting up the calendar at the moment for a website and have a query relating to locations (city, state, country) without venues.
Each event lists the general location (city and/or state and county) but not the actual venue (eg no street address etc) – the calendar is really a broad list linking to external websites and 99% of events listed will not have venues with street addresses nor further information.
I managed to import the events successfully without any venues. I followed the fields from the demo events csv file and so did not include city, state or country in that file.
How can I actually import city, state and county fields for the events?
Can I add the 3 as extra columns into the events csv file or does it actually have to be in the venue csv?
If in the venue file does that mean I have to create a unique venue for each city/state/country combo like “Arizona, USA”?Thanks and keep up the great work.

ParticipantI added the city/state/country names as venues, imported those, and then re-imported the events. Seems to work fine. Perhaps still confirm if this is the best way to do it. Thanks.

KeymasterHi Jo-Anne,
Thanks for reaching out!
Have you verified that the locations (without venue names) are associated with the right events? If so, this should be ok.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

Participantps just confirming… there aren’t any locations without a venue name. I assigned each location a venue name like so:
- Adelaide, South Australia, Australia
- Austin, Texas, USA
which doesn’t seem the best way to do it – but perhaps is the workaround for our needs?
