How to get rid of sidebar on Events page

When I view Events created by The Events Calendar, the right sidebar shows on the page. I want to be able to get rid of this. Normally, when I create a new page, I can select Fullwidth Template from the Page Attributes, and that removes the sidebar…but for the events page, this is not an option. How do I get rid of the sidebar? Also, how can I put the main “events” page on the menu bar? It allows me to put a certain event, but I was the main page so they click on that and all the events show up.

Colby — you can change the template by heading to Events > Settings > Display and choosing the Default Event Template.

If I wanted to retain my left sidebar but have it set to the default events width – could someone point me in the right direction? I use the twenty fourteen theme. website is http://www.sportschoice.co.uk.

Hello @sportschoice and thanks for chiming in!

To get the sidebar on the calendar, you will need to either choose one of your theme templates in your Events > Settings > Display options, or use a template override to customize the default event template to add a sidebar manually.
