How to get data from the custom field's input

I created a custom field for each event by adding the field and checking ‘Attendee Information-Request information for each attendee during registration’, it does show up so I put in data but where does it pass to? I can’t see it on the checkout page nor in the orders or email? It seems to just collecting it on that form but not carrying on to checkout or sending it to the system?
