How to filter the events list using shortcode.

I have the shortcode for events listing like this: [tribe_events_list limit=”3″] and I want to filter this events by one or more categories. What would be the shortcode to do that? Or, do you have another idea on how to filter the events list? I only want to show in this list some important events, not all of them.
I’ve seen it’s easy to filter the widget, but here I’m using a shortcode.
