ParticipantUsing PRO version. I have recurring events listed for three months ahead of time showing on the front page of my WordPress, but they’re making it so none of my current “regular” articles/posts are visible until 6 pages back. Is there a way to exclude any events from showing up in my WordPress latest posts? I tried a category excluder plugin, but my The Events Calendar categories don’t show up as WordPress categories. I’ve now deleted these events and just placed a test post to make sure it wasn’t some old issue, but it’s still doing the same thing.

KeymasterHi There!
Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me help you with this topic.
There is no built in way to exclude a specific category from the main events calendar. However, you could achieve what you’re looking for but would require some custom coding.
As a reference, here’s a code snippet that will exclude the categories ”meetup” and “shindig” from the month and list view:

You can try that by placing the code in your active theme’s functions.php file and modify it to suit your needs.
I hope that helps! Let me know how it goes.

ParticipantThank you so much for the info. Unfortunately, adding that bit of code to my functions.php only appears to hide them from my monthly events calendar and list view…something I don’t want to do. I just want the events to only show up on that calendar and/or list, not as part of all my posts on my site. I see other sites that somehow have achieved this (not having every event listed as a post on their page), so I’m sure there’s some way to do it, but I don’t have enough knowledge to “modify it” to suit my needs. Any other suggestions that you think might help? Thanks in advance.

KeymasterHi there,
I see, sorry about that. Can you go into Events > Settings and make sure the box is checked: Recurring event instances
Let me know if that solves the issue.
Thanks,
