ParticipantI have seen a few similar posts on this but no real answer. I ran a test purchase on an event and recorded an attendee named Test Tester. (Just for test purposes. 😉 This went well. Now I need to delete this fake attendee. I tried deleting the order, deleting the user, deleting everything I could find relating to the purchase of this ticket. However, the event still shows one attendee… Test Tester. Obviously, I don’t want it there. There needs to be a way to completely delete a record of a purchase (I’ve added my vote to a similar feature request, hoping that will be implemented). I don’t want this to show a record of people who a) aren’t real and b) aren’t attending. I need to make the front & back ends of this be completely idiot proof for the volunteers who will be managing the events.
I am assuming there is at least a way to clear this transaction from the database? Hopefully? Now that I know what will happen, I will create a test event & test on that, and then just delete the event altogether when I need to be done with it. In the meantime, can you let me know if there’s a way to delete this Test Tester from existence?
Thank you!

MemberHi Sarah!
Thanks for getting in touch with us! I’d be happy to help you with this topic.
There is a way to delete an attendee by going to the attendees page. You can learn how to Refund or cancel tickets order here >Â https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-cancel-tickets-order/
In addition to that, let me point you to a couple of other interesting articles:
I hope it helps! Let me know if you have other questions.

ParticipantThanks for the response. That is helpful – except when I go to manage
attendees, there is nothing listed there anymore. I deleted the order
and everything, like I mentioned before. I went back and restored the
order thru WooCommerce but nothing shows up in the Attendees area of the
event on the back end. I just see the attendee in the list on the actual
event page & I also see the “cancelled” listing. But on the back
end…no attendee. So I think there needs to be some kind of hard erase
of the data somewhere, unless I’m missing something else. Thanks!

MemberHi Sarah!
Thanks for following up with this.
Sorry I misunderstood your situation. I can now understand that you were referring to the attendees list in the front end of the event.
I made a few tests and could reproduce this issue you are having. It turns out to be a small bug that causes to still fetch old attendees after being deleted, when showing the list of attendees in the event.
This is a caching issue that occurs only when deleting an attendee and will show the right information when new attendees are registered for the event, without affecting your attendees/orders process.
I have logged a bug report for this issue so it can be addressed in a future maintenance release of our plugins.
I will set this thread to “Pending fix” and link it to the report so we can let you know once a bugfix is released.
I apologise for this inconvenience and we’d appreciate your patience.
Do let me know if you have any follow up questions in the meantime.
