ParticipantHey there,
my customer is using your plugin for registrations to workshops.
He sometimes needs to move attendees to other events in order to be flaxible. However the tickets available/not available do not update (i know, that this is not the thought of woo to be automatic).
So could you explain, how my customer should manually change the stock?
Example:
Event 1: 8/8 attendees, Event 2: 8/10 attendees. | Now move 2 attendees from E1 to E2.
E1 souhld be updated to 6/8 and E2 schould be updated to 10/10. How does he do this?Best Wishes

KeymasterGrüss dich Arne,
Thanks for using our plugins and thanks for reaching out! Let me try to help you with your question.
In the case of RSVPs you will need to edit the RSVP itself and increase the stock by 1 (or the number of tickets moved). In your case the end result will be 8/10 for E1, and 8/8 for E2.
The only other way of adjusting RSVPs would be to dig into the database and make adjustments there manually. If you are interested in how to do this I can look it up and send you the details.
A possible workaround for the RSVP would be creating a (WooCommerce) ticket which costs €0. Adjusting the stock for that is a bit better, see here below.
As for tickets (and WooCommerce) the case is a bit better. You need to open the WooCommerce product page of the ticket for editing. https://cloudup.com/cFEYCLS2noh
Then increase the inventory count and decrease the “total_sales” custom field. See the screenshot: https://cloudup.com/cSRxmzM5pnP
I hope this helps and do let me know if you have further questions regarding this topic.
Cheers,

ParticipantHallo Andreas, (englisch oder deutsch?)
thank you for your kind reply.
Is it possible to do it the other way around?
I mean how can i decrease the number of attendees (is this to be done in the database)?Best Wishes

KeymasterHallo Arne,
The language of the forums is English – so others understand what’s happening in case a colleague needs to take a look at the thread. If there is a language barrier, then I usually handle the German speaking part of the world. 🙂
Yes, you can increase OR decrease the stock based on your needs, both in the case of RSVPs or Tickets.
In your case it will look something like this:
Event one: stock 8, sold 8. On the front end you will see “0 of 8 available”. (The front end shows the relation of the number of sales to the stock.)
Then you move two attendees away from Event one to Event two, you will still see “0 of 8 available” because you only move the tickets, and not the sale itself. The sale is still registered to Event one.
If you want to make those 2 moved places available in Event one, then you need to increase the stock to 10. Then on the front end you will see “2 of 10 available”.
Let’s see from the point of Event 2.
Event 2: stock 10, sold 8. On the front end you will see “2 of 10 available”.
Then you move two attendees from Event one to Event two, you will still see “2 of 10 available”, because you didn’t move the sale here, only the tickets.
If you want to remove those 2 moved places from Event two, then you decrease the stock to 8. Then the front end will show “0 of 8 available.”
Again, for clarity:
- When you move tickets between events, then the tickets / RSVPs are moved, but the sale of those tickets is still tied to the original event. That doesn’t get moved.
- The availability which is shown to the users shows you the difference between the stock and the sales. Thus, when moving tickets, then the total number doesn’t necessarily reflect the number of places.
I hope this clarifies. Let me know if you have any more questions.
