Hello,
I’ve just bought this filter add-on, and it works fine. However, I would like to take the basic filter function out of its default location and embed it in one of the template files – I don’t want the ‘collapse filters’ etc bar, I literally just want the drop-down to select the categories. Can you tell me how to do this?
Thank you.

Thanks so much for reaching out!
By default, the Filter Bar appears on the main events page only. You may be able to achieve this customization, though we are limited by our Support Policy on how much we can assist with customizations.
You could try to add some custom code like this in order to display the Filter Bar elsewhere:

You could also try to modify something like this for Filter Bar:

Also, you are welcome to add or vote on this idea in our Feature Ideas, as we take customer feedback into account when we implement new features:

And here is our Themer’s Guide, which can direct you as to which templates you may want to edit:

Lastly, if this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

Let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

Thanks for the info – I’ll have a look around in the template files and see what I can find.
