How to add Only Members Can Purchase to Event Tickets Plus

We have Woocommerce Memberships running on our site. If we want we are able to create a product and allow users to view the product but only add to cart if they are a signed in as a member. We do this by choosing “Purchase” in the Memberships Restrict content metabox. And the plugin handles adding notes that members should sign in.

We have Event Tickets Plus running and as an events organizer, this is what the majority of our sales are.

We would like to have the same functionality for ticket sales. So we create a ticket (or a product). Which shows up publicly for everybody but is only available to purchase for signed in members.
When we try to do this by creating a ticket and then setting the membership setting via the product page of the ticket product we just produced we do see the ticket publicly, but there is no warning to log-in and anybody can click the cart button. Once the user who isn’t signed in clicks the cart button they are taken to a “Sorry this product doesn’t exist page”.

I have read in support that Tickets Plus is not yet integrated with Woocommerce Members. But I would love to hear of a hook that I could add that would pull in the you must sign in warnings on tickets.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I will ask our Dev team for a hook for that purpose. I cannot promise anything.
Perhaps if you had a copy of the plugin to share (in a private reply and via a Dropbox link), it could help to achieve just that.

Thank you for writing back and for the follow-up information.
It allowed me to find out that we are indeed considering integration with this plugin.

Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned!

You are absolutely right about the proper hook to use for your purpose, the wc_memberships_product_purchasing_restricted_message one is what you will want to use.

What you will want to do is to add that to the loop as part as a template customization. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

If that is slightly outside of your comfort zone, you could hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
