ParticipantI would like to add Website in the event location details so it appears on the event calendar and viewers can click on it to go the to site. It is only on the event organizer details and doesn’t not show up on the event. Thanks.

ParticipantLyne,
You can do this by using ‘Custom Fields’ in Events Calendar Pro. Take a look at this tutorial and let me know if you have further questions: https://theeventscalendar.com/pro-adding-custom-events-attributes/Thanks!

ParticipantHello Casey,
I tried yesterday but if you are viewing the event list it does not show up on the main page only if you click on the title of the event which most people won’t do. The title is in black so you don’t really realize that you can click on it. Is there a way to put it in colour? If it was already in the location details, you could see it on the main page. Also, it doesn’t link up to the site so you can’t click it to get to the site. Is this feasible? Many thanks for all your help.January 14, 2013 at 6:53 am #30734Casey
ParticipantCan you give me a link to view? I’ll take a look.

ParticipantI can’t as the site is under construction. This is what you would see, the text on the left hand side and the venue info on the right of it. I you added the link to the site in the text for readers to be able to click and get to the site. This linking to a site is vital when you have events as readers want to view it. Like for the venue(in red and has a link) but it goes to the site. This is just a test to show you.

The website is there but you can’t click on it. I you could at least include website in the location details, it would show up on the main page. Thanks.January 14, 2013 at 7:12 am #30739Casey
ParticipantYour developer should be able to customize all of this by performing a template override (https://theeventscalendar.com/what-are-template-overrides-and-how-do-i-do-them/) and then customizing the list.php page.
Let me know if they have any trouble doing this, and we’ll be happy to help as much as we can. Thanks!

ParticipantSorry, just to confirm. Will we be able to link the site also or just add the website to the event location details? Thanks.

ParticipantYes, your developer should be able to do either one by editing the template as necessary.

ParticipantHello Casey,
My designer looked at it and feels that it’s touchy! She is not capable of this specific task. Is there a way that you can help me? Thanks.January 19, 2013 at 5:50 pm #31195Casey
ParticipantLyne,
Unfortunately we don’t offer customization services. You might reach out in the EC Pro forum and see if any other users have had success finding good free-lance developers for work like this. Thanks and sorry we couldn’t be more help than that!July 7, 2015 at 6:26 am #978455Support Droid
