how long do events remain in the calendar after they've occurred?

sorry if this explained elsewhere, but do past events automatically fall out of the calendar? Or do I need to remove them manually? I’ve only seen one option for removing events in a recurring series 1 month after they take place. What about standalone events?

Hi Rika!

Events will always stay on your calendar, unless you move them to the Trash in the WordPress admin. Once an event has passed, it will go into an archive of past events.

So, for example, you can use the navigation at the bottom of calendar to navigate backwards in time to view past events. Here are you events from last month:
