How is it possible to develop a calendar with ‘departments’ in stead of events.

I really want to know if it is possible on the Flatsome theme to create a calendar with departments like they did on: https://health-center.vamtam.com/timetable/ So, there are not really event pages but more like ‘normal pages’ which are linked to the calendar. I want to build a calendar for a sport centrum with 15 kinds of sports and all the sports need a normal, nice page which is linkable to the event calendar. On the link, if I click on ‘cardiology’ in the calendar, I see a nice page with explanation etc. and the times. Is this always possible and how?

Great question. In The Events Calendar, we use Event Categories to group similar events together and you could use those as departments. And, if you use the Filter Bar add-on, then you can have a bar at the top of the screen that allows your visitors to filter the calendar events by a specific category/department.

That’s not going to look exactly the same as the example you provided, but does give you one path for accomplishing something similar.

Events Calendar PRO allows you to create custom fields for events. So, for example, you could create a custom field called “Department” and then use the Filter Bar add-on to allow visitors to filter events on the calendar by that custom field.
