How get Live calendar feed to import/ show up in Google Calendar

Hello,

We are using The Events Calendar, and just upgraded to the PRO version yesterday.

https://cnr.ncsu.edu/events is our calendar.

Yesterday we received a request from administration to make the calendar feed available to work in Google, with the events getting updated.

I know there is a live feed:

https://cnr.ncsu.edu/events/feed

But this has to be in iCal format in order to be updated in Google Calendar.

How are we able to get this working so that the feed goes into Google Calendar?

Hello Kbee,

Great question!

Unfortunately, the /feed URL is powered by RSS which I believe is not able to feed events into Google Calendar.

The plugin does include an iCal URL at /ical. However, this does not act as a feed. In other words, it works well as a one-time import but will not feed events to other calendars on a recurring basis.

There is a popular feature request where this has been suggested. It would be great if you would add your vote to it. I’ll also bring it up with the team so it’s on our radar–seems like it has quite a few votes and warrants discussion.
