How do I show a list of specific events on a separate page?

Hello,

I’m trying to set up a page to only show events from the month of October (each of which I added a special tag to). I tried doing it with the calendar widget but failed (https://tri.be/support/forums/topic/mini-calendar-not-listing-events-chronologically/#post-722501).

My end goal is to have a page set up that neatly shows only my October events from my Events Calendar. Is there an easy way of accomplishing this?

Hi Nathan,

The primary means of showing events in a given month within The Events Calendar is of course to use month view. If that doesn’t work and leveraging one of our widgets isn’t feasible it may be you need to code your own solution or make use of a third party solution.

Though not something we support here on the Modern Tribe forums, this unofficial plugin provides a shortcode that lets you embed events from a specified time range and for a specific category/tag. Might that work?

The plugin you recommended is fantastic! Will make things easier beyond my current issue. Is it possible to use the shortcode to customize the number of events to display? It’s only displaying 5 events.

Yes that’s possible – you can just add a limit parameter:

[event_embed limit="5"]

Do note though that this isn’t actually something we typically support here on the official Modern Tribe forums – so I would ask that if you have any other queries you take them to the appropriate wordpress.org forum 🙂
