ParticipantHey there,
I just upgraded to 3.9 and went to my site to make sure everything looks/works the same. There seems to be a glitch whereby a big google map is showing up between the feature image and the event description. See here: http://www.herestherub-llc.com/event/reiki-3-jan-24/
I’ve unclicked google maps in the settings and in the event description, and yet, there it is blocking out the sun.
Any help you can offer will be very welcome.
Thanks,

MemberHi Heather,
Sorry for the issues you are having with the Google Map on the Single Event.
I took a look at your site and that Map is out of place from the typical placement.
It does not appear to be moved with CSS though.
Do you have any custom templates in your theme?
They would be in this directory:
/wp-content/themes/incarnation/tribe-events/
That could be the cause of this if the custom templates are out of date.
Let me know about that and we can go from there to resolve this.
Thanks

ParticipantHey Brian,
Thanks for getting back to me. I have to pay a guy to fix this stuff for me, so I forwarded your email and he says this:
“I believe the map was ‘hidden’ via a CSS rule like this: #tribe-events-gmap-0 {visibility: collapse; margin-top: -350px;}
I have inserted the rule in the custom theme css found here => dashboard => appearance => edit CSS.”
Now it’s not showing up, which is good, but this seems like it will be irritating/expensive going forward. I’m open to any tips you have.
Cheers,
HeatherDecember 29, 2014 at 4:29 pm #926488Brian
MemberSorry for the issues, I am still not sure why the Map is showing there.
The single event page should look something like this:
http://wpshindig.com/event/wordpress-developers-meetup-seacoast-nh/2015-01-07/
You Map is showing above the Content Area, but there is no css to do that so I would think it would be a custom template causing this.
Were you able to see if you have any custom templates that are changing the single event page?

ParticipantI know very little about this and, as I said, pay a guy to fix things that go haywire, so if having a custom template means going above and beyond, I can assure you I don’t have one. Under Settings, Default Template is checked.
Yes, I see how it should look. That would be lovely. =o)
I’m checking Resolved only because it doesn’t seem you can help me and it’s futile to continue this conversation.
