How do I point event countdown to the event?

I have worked out how to get the widget into my footer but can’t see any instructions on how to just let the countdown know what to start counting down. Can someone help me even if it is to find the documentation?

Thanks for getting in touch! You should be able to set the Event that you want the widget to countdown to in your widget settings (screenshot). After setting the Event, then the widget will use its start date for the countdown.
