Greg
ParticipantSaw a couple threads about this including this one, but they’re 4+ years old and the advice involves manually editing template files which is kinda over my head and I’d rather not do that, so I’m hoping there’s a more sophisticated solution these days.
Got anything for me? : )
Thanks,

ParticipantOh yeah, ditto the links to Organizer pages. Don’t like/want those either. Text is fine, don’t want them linking.

MemberGood evening Greg and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. The simplest and most elegant solution to customize any view is still a template override.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
Here’s an easy to do it:
- Create a /tribe-events/ folder in your WordPress themem create a /modules/ folder inside of it and finally a /meta/ folder inside of the modules folder. The goal is /your-theme/tribe-events/modules/meta/
- Simply drop the following 2 files inside/your-theme/tribe-events/modules/meta/ : venueorganizer_removelink
Let me know how that goes.

ParticipantThanks for the help, that worked like a charm. Pretty convoluted workaround for something I’d think lots of customers would want to do, but it is what it is. I just hope and trust that y’all will keep backward compatibility with such tricky techniques over time.

MemberHey Greg,
I’m super stoked that worked for you.
I hear you. At first, template overrides seem a bit overkill, but they offer tons of flexibility.
They are also easy to update if necessary in a future release. We’ll gladly help out if necessary.I would totally recommend using a child-theme (if you are not already).
This way these customizations will not be overwritten by theme updates. As a side note, we are currently working on an extension library for our customers.
The goal being to offer simple and user friendly solutions to specific needs such as this one.You are welcome back in our support forums any time 🙂
For now, I am going to close this thread.
Have a great week!
Geoff B.
