    Hi

I want to create a staging site with a working version of events calendar pro and tickets but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to create a site with a .dev tld. I can create a domain with dev.mydomain.com or my domain.com/dev but not .dev

    Can you enlighten me please

    Thanks

    Hey Julie,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Creating a .dev domain name, or creating a staging/dev site in general, is indeed a little tricky and takes some practice. It’s unfortunately something far outside the scope of support we can provide here, though. 🙁 We can only provide support directly related to how our plugins work and function—learn more about this here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/

Here are two resources I found online that may be helpful for you:
    • https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/getting-started/setting-up-a-development-environment/

There are also apps you can use that make it much easier. Here are two apps widely used by us here on The Events Calendar support and development teams:

Explore the options above and search online for more information and resources on this—I hope you make progress on building a dev site!

If you have other questions or concerns, feel free to open a new thread any time! 😀

    George
