How do I change Month/Year Dropdown appearance?

Here’s my calendar:

As you can see, the Month/Year dropdown is displayed vertically. I’d like to have it displayed horizontally so that its on the same line as the Event List and Calendar buttons. It would take up less space if it were horizontal. Can you help me to do that please?

Hi Cliff.

We need to add a few CSS rules to counter some of the styles set up by your theme. There are a couple of different ways you might do this, including adding some new rules to your theme’s stylesheet, however the best way is probably to set up a custom events.css file.

The basic idea though is to copy events.css from the-events-calendar/resources/events.css and place your copy in an events directory within your theme:

wp-content/themes/YOUR-THEME/events/events.css

Then add some new rules to the bottom of that stylesheet. In the first instance you could try adding these rules. I hope that helps!
