    After working with you and my hosting company, I created a development site for testing tec pro, event aggregator and community events with my site, which is having problems with things… and I am not having any luck with the .dev site (which isn’t a registered domain) updating with cron jobs… my hosting company says it is because the site doesn’t resolve anywhere.

    How do I test this properly if the cron jobs can’t run??

    I need to work these things out and I do not have another developer to figure it out.

    I’m sorry to hear about these issues. When it comes to the presence or absence of functioning cron jobs on your site, this is unfortunately something that is outside the scope of the support we can provide here.

    As outlined in our support terms, we only provide support for our plugins specifically, plugin features, etc. — the presence or absence of functioning cron jobs is a deeper problem with your WordPress installation itself and, as your hosting company’s response seems to imply, something with the system configuration of your .dev site itself, too.

    The best step I could recommend here would be to follow up with your hosting provider’s support team directly. They say the .dev domain does not resolve anywhere — I would recommend asking them how to make a development site that does resolve somewhere, so that you can have a fully-functioning WordPress installation with functioning cron jobs.
