Am building website for small musical group. There is no space for event price variables:
“$15 Regular, $10 Senior/Student, Kids free”; “Free, suggested donation $20”
Is there a plug in to fix this deficiency?

Good evening Toni and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

You are correct, the Event Cost price is not meant to accept free text.

The good news is that there are a couple of ways around this:

    1. Depending on your scenario, you could use Event Tickets or Event Tickets Plus to add tickets to the event.

You can then decide wether or not you want this to be transactional or not.

    2. You could grab a copy of the Events Calendar Pro.

That will let you add custom fields to your events (among other things).
You could then tweak the different views to use the custom field’s value for display in place of the Event Cost.

You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Geoff B.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
