Hotel Bookings

Hi,

I have been approached by a client to create a site for a business that runs guesthouse and hosts events. I plan on using The Events Calendar for managing event registration and ticket sales. I was wondering The Events Calendar can be used or extended to manage room reservations. Is there any documentation on how to do something like this?

Hi Jay,

thanks for reaching out! Man, that sounds like an awesome project and I’m glad you’re planning to use The Events Calendar for managing events — right on!

I am afraid that our plugins are not suited for booking things like rooms and appointments. I mean, you could theoretically use Event Tickets Plus to create a ticket for each available room, but that’s both cumbersome and would likely confuse folks visiting the site.

There are other plugins that handle bookings quite well. A couple I’ve heard others suggest in the past are Booking Calendar and WP Hotel Booking, though I have not tried either of those personally.
