ParticipantHello!
First off thanks for make such a great plugin for Calendars! I just updated to the latest version and I am running into a few problems with the mini calendar widget. Before the mini calendar widget was very nicely contained with a roll over function to show upcoming events. Now there is a list below the calendar with the selected month\’s events. In the widget you can control how many of these are shown but I would like to have no events listed, just the mini calendar view. The theme I am working with works best with just the calendar, otherwise the extra height of the added list creates dead space in other columns. I tried entering in \”0\” and \”none\” into the number of events to show field but that didn\’t seem to work. Honestly, I thought it worked great before and I am a little disappointed that it has changed so drastically. The rollovers worked great for me. Any ideas on how to make this work for my situation. Otherwise, I may try to revert to a previous version, which I would prefer not to do. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!July 17, 2013 at 7:09 am #55678Jonah
ParticipantHi Jesse,
You should be able to relatively easily remove this by making a copy of /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/views/widgets/mini-calendar-widget.php and placing in a ‘tribe-events/widgets’ folder. Then, just comment out or remove line 29. That should do it. Let me know how that goes.

ParticipantHow can I remove the list under the widget when the user first arrives on the page? I only want the list to open if the user clicks on a day.
Thank youAugust 7, 2013 at 10:17 am #59324Jesse Wagner
ParticipantJonah,
I was able to remove the list below the calendar. Thanks for sending that info.I am still having a little bit of upgrade remorse. Especially if the rollover information is not supported anymore. The last version of the Pro widget worked perfect. Now I am having to rethink how this works on my sites and if the Pro add-on is worth the cost now. I want to keep plugins up to date to avoid problems down the road but you have completely changed how the product functions. Do you foresee any support for rollovers and/or more customization of the Pro widget in future updates?

MemberHi Jesse,
I’m sorry to hear you’re regretting the upgrade. I definitely recommend that you stick with 3.0, since as you mentioned it’s best to stay with the most current version. We also won’t be able to provide much support for 2.0.11 as we get further into the 3.x lifecycle. That being said, if you want to downgrade I can point you in the right direction.
We do not have any specific plans to re-add toolltips, but since so many folks have expressed disappointment about their disappearance I have ticketed it as a potential feature to add in a future build. If you’d like to encourage us, please vote for it in our UserVoice Forum.
Cheers,

ParticipantHi, Jesse. This is just a note to let you know that we didn’t get a chance to look at your issue for our maintenance release this time around.
We do plan to find a way to help you out with this. We look forward to addressing this as soon as we’ve got bandwidth/resources to allow it.
Thanks for being part of the TEC community!
