    Hey guys
On the submission page You find fields for Country and State/Province which I don’t really want to show. The real issue is the State dropdown. If you are not in the USA that confuses people when they add their events. Is there no “backend tick-box” solution to hide this, surely this must be an issue for anyone not in the U.S

O yes, why is not possible to tick the Category box. You need to click on the actual word to select your Event Category?

    Your help will be appreciated
    Thanks

    Mediamatix,
When a user selects a different country, the states dropdown should be hidden, like I’m seeing in my environment here: http://d.pr/i/yoX

I’m seeing some javascript errors when viewing your page (http://d.pr/i/CPd7), which is causing some of these issues. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins, and then reactivating one by one to see if there’s a plugin that has conflicting javascript?

Give that a try and let me know if you’re able to determine what’s causing those JavaScript Errors.

    Hi Casey
Thanks for the reply. Checked the plugins but the problem is the theme…

Any suggestions how one can fix this conflict?

I see that it also removes the image banner above the Events page and the Events submit page (example of image above content: http://www.bottleplatepillow.com/winetube/ )

Mediamatix – when you switch to the Twenty Thirteen theme, are you still seeing this issue?

Nope, the conflict is only when my theme is active – I have no idea how to solve this, any suggestions will be appreciated
    Thanks Casey

Mediamatix – Since everything appears to work with no issues using the Twenty Thirteen theme, I would suggest reaching out to theme developer to see if they have any insight as to why the Chosen Dropdowns aren’t working with your theme. We’re happy to assist the theme developer in making their theme compatible if they have any questions for us, but unfortunately we can’t provide support for every third party theme that’s out there (please read our policy on this).

Please let me know if you have further questions. Thanks!

Point taken, will take it up with the theme developer and get to the bottom of the conflict. As per original request is it possible to hide those 3 fields?

So sorry, I thought I addressed that! The reason that the State dropdown isn’t hidden when a user selects a different country, is because your theme is causing Javascript errors.

If you switch to the default theme, it should work properly and the state dropdowns should change into a textbox when the user selects a different country like this:

    Before: http://d.pr/i/p0YI

After selecting a different country: http://d.pr/i/42VT

    Hope that helps!

All my events are only in one region and those fields make the form unnecessary long, so the ideal will be to hide them – but let us get the conflict sorted and then we can see what it should look like and make final decisions – thanks for the help Casey

No problem! Just let me know if you need anything else from us on this, or if we can go ahead and close this thread out.

    Thanks!
