I sell tickets on my site to events (courses) that are quite an investment. For some people we’d like to offer them the option to pay half upfront to register for the event, and then the other half later on. This option should only be available to people that have discussed this with us beforehand and it shouldn’t be available to everyone to select on the event page. I figured we could do this by adding a second ticket to an event that is half the price, creating a manual order with this ticket for this person and have them login to pay for the order. I tested this workflow and this works correctly. The only thing I still need is to be able to hide this ticket on the event page, so other users can’t see and/or use it.

Is there a way to do this? Is this something that could be done by overriding a template or anything like that? For every event we only ever need to show one ticket.

    Hi, Wim.

Just to explore an alternative, what if you just give them a private WooCommerce coupon code?

When you see an order come through with this coupon code (or maybe there’s an automated way to do it), you could then add the 2nd half of the bill to their account — possibly by charging them forĀ a hidden WooCommerce product that is not a Ticket.

Would that be a viable alternative for you?

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
