Our client is using the Community Events as well as the Events Calendar Pro.

They will have two different calendars – one for their sponsored and paid events, and another for community events.

They have multiple categories that are only relevant to the Events Calendar and not to the Community Events Calendar.

They need the categories section to be hidden on the Community Events submission form – and have any submitted event default to the “Community Events” category.

How might we go about achieving this?

    Hi David.

If you want the categories to submit along with the form, the easiest implementation is probably to simply hide the Events Categories field via CSS and then select your desired default category via jQuery.

There are other ways to achieve your end result, too. For example, our Themer’s Guide is an excellent reference.

Please let me know if there’s anything more I can help with on this topic.
