ParticipantSo guys,
im little bit angry because i bought your events calendar pro plugin and i have now some translation bugs. For me is this unacceptable for 89 dollars! :
1. On the start page in the footer widget “Anstehende Veranstaltungen” – Why is the whole site in german but your widget test “There are no upcoming events at this time.” in english? And why i have there no upcoming events but in the calendar i have a event in septembre?
2. Why i have on http://b3bmwb.myraidbox.de/veranstaltungen/ in the headline the “archive” text and no chance to fix or change it? Where can i find this?
3. why i have on http://b3bmwb.myraidbox.de/veranstaltung/15-unternehmerinnenfruehstueck/ english words for “address” or “venue name” and not the german ones? according to the loco translate plugin your plugin have all the right translations.Please help me to fix the bugs shortly!
Thanks

ParticipantHey Torben,
I’m sorry that you’re frustrated with things.
On the start page in the footer widget “Anstehende Veranstaltungen” – Why is the whole site in german but your widget test “There are no upcoming events at this time.” in english?
1. Nobody on the Modern Tribe team speaks German and so we must rely on community submissions for translations. Sometimes we have incomplete translation fiels. In regards to missing translations, we have a knowledgebase article that covers this issue, please read that here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/incomplete-translations/
And why i have there no upcoming events but in the calendar i have a event in septembre
2. Can you try adding a “test event” in August, and see if this event shows up in the widget at all?
Why i have on http://b3bmwb.myraidbox.de/veranstaltungen/ in the headline the “archive” text and no chance to fix or change it? Where can i find this?
This is because of your theme. To fix this, you will have to add CSS like the following to the bottom of your theme’s style.css file:
body.post-type-archive-tribe_events .headline_text {
display: none !important;
}
why i have on http://b3bmwb.myraidbox.de/veranstaltung/15-unternehmerinnenfruehstueck/ english words for “address” or “venue name” and not the german ones? according to the loco translate plugin your plugin have all the right translations.
I do not know that the “Loco Translate Plugin” is, and it is not something that we endorse or are specifically integrated with. Please see the article I shared above about missing translations: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/incomplete-translations/
I hope this information helps, let us know what you think!
Cheers,

we checked all translation files and there are the right german words. But they don’t show the right words on our website. after clearing the cache etc. too. 🙁

After adding two test events there are no changes in the footer widget.
3. This is because of your theme. To fix this, you will have to add CSS like the following to the bottom of your theme’s style.css file
works well, thanks

ParticipantHey Torben,
Thanks for investigating everything here – I think we should first focus on your widget-related issue, where events do not show up first. Then we can address your translations issues.
For the widget issue, can you run through our troubleshooting steps here and check on the widget issue after each step in the process? → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
That will be useful, and hopefully we can figure this out and then address your translations issues.
Thanks for your patience Torben!

ParticipantHi George,
sorry but nothing helped.
1. Can i change our language on the site to english and you fix it for me? Its very important because we have a deadline for this project.
2. What can i do with the language issues?
Cheers,
TorbenSeptember 3, 2015 at 3:20 pm #1001836George
ParticipantHey Torben,
I cannot guarantee I’ll be able to fix your issues, and we cannot operate on your deadline, however if you share a link directly to a page on your site where the widget issue can be seen on the front-end of your site then I will happily take a look!
Be sure to leave your site in the state where a default theme is active, and all plugins except for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro are deactivated like from those troubleshooting steps.
As for the language issues, I’m not sure where the exact problem is coming from – if you have strings in the German translation file that are not translated, the best solution is to translate them. If there are code problems I unfortunately do not know when they will be fixed 🙁
Sorry Torben,
