ParticipantWhen I am working on the back-end interface and adding events, I noticed the headings at the top of the list has changed. They are now: Title, Author, Event Categories, Tags, Recurring, SEO, Readability, Start Date, End Date. Is there a way to edit what is shown here? I really don’t need some of these columns and I DO need Location (which used to be listed but is now gone). I’m attaching a screen shot in a private reply in case that is helpful for you.
Also, I’m not sure if the two are related, but at the top of the page it says: “Pssst! Looking for the filters? They live in a separate plug-in now.” What does this mean and is this something I should download?
Thanks,

ParticipantHowdy Lindy,
Good questions. I would love to help you find a solution for this.

You definitely can. In the upper right corner of that screen you will see “Screen Options”. Click this and uncheck any columns you don’t want visible.
Also, I’m not sure if the two are related, but at the top of the page it says: “Pssst! Looking for the filters? They live in a separate plug-in now.” What does this mean and is this something I should download?
The Screen Options is actually a universal WordPress feature. I don’t know why yours changes all of the sudden, but it could be any plugin you’ve installed that altered them.
The filters that are mentioned in that message are a separate free plugin. It allows you to do more than just show/hide columns, it allows you to do complex filtering of the list. Say you want to only show events with a start date greater than ____, or only events in the category ____, the plugin mentioned in that message allows you to do this.
Does that all make sense? Will that work for you? Please let me know.
Cheers!
