My Plugin page shows Events Calendar at version 3.9. My Events Calendar Pro is version 3.4. I thought I could just input my license key but there is no License tab. I read that I have to manually update to get the versions in sync. I followed the codex instructions to manually update a plug-in. I can see the version 3.9 folder is in wp-content/plugins folder but when I return to my dashboard, it isn’t there to activate. I’ve even tried to search installed plugins; no luck. I have no Add New option. What are my next steps?

    Hi,

Sorry for the issues you are having I can help troubleshoot this with you.

When you look in the Plugins Directory do you see a folder titled:

    events-calendar-pro

And what is the folder called when you mention this “I can see the version 3.9 folder”

If you have two different folders for two version of Pro that maybe the issue. You should have Pro only be in this folder:

    events-calendar-pro

I’ve even tried to search installed plugins; no luck. I have no Add New option.

This feature will not work to find Pro as you can only get it through our site and is not a WordPress.Org Plugin.

Let me know and we can go from there.

    Thanks

You’re right, I do have 2 folders. One is events-calendar-pro and the other is events-calendar-pro.3.9.0. Within the events-calendar-pro.3.9.0, there is another folder entitled events-calendar-pro. I guess I should delete the events-calendar-pro.3.9.0 folder but will the remaining folder contain the newer version (3.9) of the existing version (3.4)?

If this is a multisite installation the License tab under the Network Admin Settings tab.

    I would delete this folder:

    events-calendar-pro

    Then rename this folder:

    events-calendar-pro.3.9.0

    to this:

    events-calendar-pro

Then you should be able to activate 3.9

Let me know if that works out.

    Thanks
