Gravity forms event submission

Hi,

I’m trying to post user events using gravity forms.
I know this is a customization but I thought maybe you can still give me a hand since I tried community plugins and it is a great plugin, but my needs are simpler and different.

1. I want to use the same form system throughout the site.
2. I only need the event start date to be transfred (I managed to get a new event post as draft with a title)
3. The community plugin is more complex then my needs, and require me to use 2 forms system on the site, there are also some other fields in my form that I would like to keep in my DB but not to transfer to the event,

Can you maybe help understand how to connect _EventStartDate with GF,
