ParticipantHi there,
in my google search console, I get an error message for every event I have, stating that author, date updated and entry-title is missing. Screenshot is attached.
Regards,
Jürgen

KeymasterGrüss dich,
I checked with the team on this issue. In our plugins we abandoned micro-formats to embrace JSON-LD, which is more future-proof. It’s being championed by Google and is supported by both Google & Bing. So if you are testing for micro-formats, you are not going to get a great result.
There might be some css classes left from the micro-formats, but they are there for styling purposes only.
To minimize the problems you could check if your theme has some template overrides of The Events Calendar files, which might be outdated, and refresh those.
Let me know if this helps.

ParticipantHi Andras,
thank you for your quick response.
I´m not testing at all, I just got those error messages in the Google search console and I was wondering, why Google doesn´t find the information to the corresponding events. I am using Total-Theme, the developer is always up to date, but I can still double check, if you think, that might be the reason.
By the way, template overrides are shown in the help section, so here is a copy of that data :

EVENT TICKETS PLUS
Vorlagen eingeführt oder aktualisiert mit dieser Version (4.2.5):meta/radio.php
meta/checkbox.php
meta/number.php
meta/select.php
meta/text.phpVERANSTALTUNGSKALENDER PRO
Keine Keine nennenswerten Änderungen erkannt (means: no mentionable changes detected)What can I do about that ?

KeymasterHallo nochmal,
I’m happy to hear that the theme developer keeps the theme up to date. Lot of them don’t do so that is definitely a good point for them.
The three fields are not there, because they are not coded into our micro-formats – whatever still exists of them. And I’m not sure how important the author and the time of update is in terms of an event. 🙂
Anyway, if you want to make those error messages go away, then you will need to do some template customization. You can find some info on how to do that here:

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
