ParticipantHi,
The Google Maps image is not showing up on any of my events, even though “Show Google Map” and “Show Google Maps Link” are both checked. Here are some of the events:https://medtechboston.medstro.com/event/costs-of-care-creating-value-challenge-finals/
https://medtechboston.medstro.com/event/hubweek-the-future-of-privacy-and-security-in-a-big-data-world/I am not using any custom templates. I have tried all of the steps in the conflicts check but nothing worked.
I am a PRO user. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

MemberHi James,
Welcome to the forums and sorry for the trouble here!
I see what you mean: there is nothing but a gray box where the map should display.
Will you first try heading to Events > Settings > Display and making sure the Default Event Template is selected? Let me know if that helps make a difference.
I see do a number of javascript warnings and errors in the console when viewing those links. Just to rest any doubt, are you able to deactivate all other plugins, revert to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Fifteen) and let me see the site in that condition? I just want to make sure there truly are no conflicts at play since I have not been able to replicate the issue on my end.
You can also set up a test site with a fresh WordPress installation–this will avoid any disruption to your live site and ensure that we have a clean canvas to work with.
- Please install a fresh copy of WordPress in a subdirectory (if you have a C-Panel-type hosting account there will probably be a one-click install script to make this really easy)
- Don’t install anything except The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO and Community Events
- Please also stick to a default theme, like Twenty Fifteen–again, there’s no need to install anything else just yet!
- Create a few events so we have some test data to work with
- Can you replicate the same problem?
If you find you can replicate the problem under these conditions it would be awesome if you could stop and let us know so we can take a look while the site is still running under default conditions.
Let’s start here and see what we find. Thanks for your help as we look at this together!
