ParticipantI installed TEC Pro and found that it was not showing any events on the map so amended the API credential. That didn’t fix it but I noticed that there was a button in the TEC options called ‘Fix venue data’ so I tried that. That didn’t fix it either. I then discovered that the API credential restrictions were wrong so I removed the restrictions. That still didn’t fix it for existing venues but I added a new venue which did work so I dug around in the code to see what was going on and discovered that the Geo info is only updated when the venue address is updated so I tried amending the address of an existing venue and that also worked.
So, I now need to either amend the address of EVERY venue (and then amend it back) OR, which I would really prefer, I’d like to force a refresh of all the Geo info on the existing venues.September 10, 2018 at 10:56 am #1617777Sky
KeymasterHi there,
Thanks for reaching out. I will try to help with your question.
You can try enabling “Use latitude + longitude” on any events that are not getting picked up automatically. Unfortunately, this still requires you to edit each post manually. I’m not aware of any way to do this in bulk.
Can you tell me if enabling “latitude and longitude” in an event makes it show up on the map?
Thanks,

ParticipantIt’s not really that they are not getting picked up automatically. I think they were picked up automatically at the point that I installed TEC PRO but the API was not working so all the venues were marked (in some way) as ‘processed but location could not be found’. Instead of having to manually edit EVERY address (which I have found can be as simple as adding a ‘.’ to the first line, updating, removing it and updating again) is there not some way that I can tell TEC to recheck the GEO details from Google?

KeymasterHi again,
The “fix venue data” button is supposed to show up when it detects issues with the venue information. I’m not sure what happened during the steps you described, but usually clicking that button will fix the type of issue you are describing.
Is that button not visible anymore in the maps settings? I tried to find a way to force that to show but am not coming up with anything.
If that button is not showing, manually updating may be your only option at this point. I’m going to continue trying to find a way to do this in bulk or force redo the venues, and I’ll let you know if I come up with anything. Not sure how many venues you have or how soon you need to have this working, but it may be more expedient to do it manually if you can’t wait for me to find something.
Thanks
