Google Map displays — whether we want it to or not

A Google map is appearing on our single event pages, regardless of whether or not the “Show Google Map” button is checked.

The problem, obviously, is that a map appears whether we want it or not.

I’ve disabled our modified template files but the issue persists.

I just tested this on my local site and it works fine. You mention having tested removing your customized template files; what about if you proceed with the rest of the steps on this article? ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

After EACH STEP in the process, try to recreate the problem and see if anything changes.

I am sorry to recommend this—but I could not recreate the problem and so, at this time, this still appears like it could be a theme or plugin code conflict.
