ParticipantOn an Event listing, when a user zooms the Google Map, the base map disappears. It only returns when refreshing the page. Here’s and example: https://www.schoolnewsnetwork.org/event/fifth-grade-concert/2019-02-12/
On the Venue listing, the zoom feature works as expected. Here’s an example: https://www.schoolnewsnetwork.org/venue/devos-performance-hall/
I do have a Google Map API set up. For right now, there are no restrictions on it.

KeymasterHello,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you out.
I did some testing on my end, but I was not able to recreate this locally. I looked at your single event page in a a few browsers, and it appears that the map is not loading fully. As a first troubleshooting step, can you try running through the steps outlined here to check for any conflicts that might be occurring with your theme or another plugin? As Google Maps is a popular application, theme/plugin conflicts are a common source of issues like this.
Please let me know what you find!
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantSince I’m running a live site, it’s not practical to change themes or start disabling plugins that are required.
I was thinking you might have some more insight beyond those suggestions.
I just loaded into Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. Only Safari worked correctly.

KeymasterHello,
I tested in Chrome and Safari, but I was seeing the same thing in Safari. I haven’t seen any other reports of similar issues and have not been able to recreate this in my local environment, which typically points to a theme/plugin conflict. I know the testing for this can be tedious (a plugin like Health Check can help speed things up), but unfortunately it is the best way to identify the source of issues like this.
If you don’t have a staging site, then the free Duplicator plugin can help you get one set up.
