I’t appears that if you use google rich snippets for the new concert listings it easily get’s you on position #1 of search engine results. Anyone know how to integrate these in The Events Calendar?

Hi again Rene. I talked this over with our dev Joey today. On a high level, we should reiterate that nothing you implement into your markup will grant you #1 ranking on Google. It’s a combination of many many things, most importantly being how good and relevant is your content. That being said, we actually already implemented for the 2.0 release the use of Rich Snippets, using microdata format (see http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=176035) and schema.org standard (see http://schema.org/Event) which is fully supported (and encouraged) by Google. At this point, via those, we’re doing as much as we can in the markup to help users with SEO.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you’ve got any other questions.
