    What’s up Tribe,

This is kind of an informative post as well as a question.

This will be my second year running a craft beer festival w/ wootickets. The first run was great. We didn’t run into many problems other than that a lot of people thought that their tickets were their receipts. A lot of people using Gmail were receiving their tickets in the “Promotions” tab and therefore were not seeing them.

I am trying to avoid that issue this year. After doing some research about the gmail tabs I found a few tips as to why the emails were being marked as spam. To cut to the chase, it was the ticket picture. As soon as I removed that from the ticket I was receiving my tickets in my primary tab. To make your ticket a little more flashy you can edit inline in (wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/tickets/email.php) There’s probably a safer way to edit it but you get the idea.

Onto my question: Is there a safer way to include pictures without being banished to the promotions tab?

    Hi,

    Thanks for using WooCommerce Tickets.

There is not much we can help on getting Google to mark or not mark email as spam that has an image as that is all up to them. I think that advice needs to come from them and not us unfortunately.

And you can follow our themer’s guide:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

to move this file to your theme and edit it there:

    the-events-calendar/views/tickets/email.php

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks
