Gift card with event ticket plus"

Hi,
I am selling wine tasting sessions, and most of the purchases that clients do are actually for presents (like gift card).
Is there a way in “event ticket plus” to do such a thing : selling tickets that are not assigned to a particular date?
If so, is it possible to send the ticket like a gift card to the recipient?

Also, other question that might sound a bit more technical : if it is possible to sell tickets without a date, would it be possible for the recipient to book a session thanks to a voucher/coupon code for instance?

Hi there,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here! As tickets created with Event Tickets Plus must be attached to a specific post, page, event, or other custom post type, there is currently no way to create a standalone ticket that can be checked into any event at this time. If you’d like to provide gift card-type functionality to your visitors, I’d suggest creating a separate WooCommerce product for users to buy “gift cards”, then manually generate coupon codes for each buyer and email them to the gift recipients. You can configure these gift cards to provide a 100% discount on the cost of a regular ticket purchase, so they can then use the coupon code they’ve received to register for the date of their choosing.
