getting rid of before and after links

how can i get rid of the previous and next links at the bottom of an event page
i tried some of the suggestions like making changes to style sheets to no avail
appreciate the help

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out! You can either hide the links with CSS or remove them entirely by doing a template override. The template you’ll want to edit can be found at wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/single-event.php. In your copy, you’ll want to remove the following from the tribe-events-footer section:

• « %title%' ) ?>
• »' ) ?>

not only did i remove the footer i also removed the header o nmy own without setting this place on fire. thank you
