Getting events to appear on front page

Hi there,

I’ve been toying around with both the free versions of calendar and tickets – And I’m looking to use this for a site I’m planning on building that sells tickets to other peoples events.

However I’m struggling to see how to have the events created through your plugin, featured on the front page of a theme as a custom post type. I’m not looking to only have a calendar showing events as that wouldn’t really promote what I’m offering enough, so having the individual events appear as thumbnails on the front page would be perfect for me.

Any advice on how to achieve this would be awesome!

In Pro we have our shortcodes for the widgets:

That is one way.

Or you can create a custom loop using tribe_get_events:

Using tribe_get_events

Then you could customize the output anyway you like.
