I apologize up front if this is a very stupid question. My experience with WordPress is limited.

I want to insert information about the event in the content of the event post itself. So e.g. I want to say: “This event is absolutely awesome, and you should join, so if you have nothing todo between [start_date] and [end_date], subscribe now!” Is this possible and which variables are available for this?

If this is not possible, where would I begin my search to hack this into it?

    Hi Marlinda,

Not a stupid question at all.

Depending on where you want this to display you might override and customize a template such single-event.php and then add your paragraph in there, making use of functions like tribe_get_start_date() and tribe_get_end_date() to add the date/time information.

There are other approaches you could take, too, such as using filters (which might be handy if you want this on more than one view) – but we’ll leave you to figure out the details of what works best in your scenario.

    Hope that helps!

Hi, Marlinda. As it’s been a couple of weeks since your last post, I’m going to close this thread. Please feel free to open a new one if you choose to pursue this further.

    Thanks! 🙂
