Getting error message for community events

I was looking for the front end form and type the url like in the video and I am getting this error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function has_post_thumbnail() in /home/relyloci/public_html/shoplocallansing.com/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/views/event-form.php on line 70

It may have to do with the theme I am using. Directory Press. If so any help or should I talk to them.
