Getting error: "Facebook API Error: Unsupported get request."

I have just purchased the Facebook Events Sync plugin and input the App ID/Secret and the Page ID but I am getting the error “Facebook API Error: Unsupported get request.”

Upon further research, it seems that this is due to the fact that the page I am trying to pull events from has age-restricted content. It would have been nice if you had mentioned that these types of pages are not compatible with the plugin on the plugin page….

Anyway, on the other thread, it said that other than removing the age restriction there is really nothing that can be done but I don’t believe that to be true. Can’t we just embed an access token from a profile that is of age into the get request?

I’m very sorry you’re getting that error. Unfortunately there is no way around it with the current Facebook API.

We absolutely should have warned you about this, and I apologize for our oversight there. I’ve requested that we add a note to the product page.

Since our plugin won’t serve your purposes, I’d be happy to give you a full refund for your purchase. I’ll just need you to forward your purchase receipts to pro (at) tri.be and reference this thread.

I have the same problem as mwjared. I can´t removing the age-restriction, cause the events are coming from a club for adult-people… sometimes we have alcoholic-ads or teaser for happy hours in the events and so on… Could you help me, please?

I will answered my post by myself. We removed the age-restriction on fb and we will handle posts with alcoholcontent on another way.
